Rose takes a cooling breath as Gabbie
talks but tries not to show any judgment on her face. She ant help her
wide eyes though, still worried about her so close with no feminine
precautions. “Solidarity.” She agrees with a nod and quickly looks ahead
to where she’s walking then back to Gabbie from behind her hair and
book. “So are you- did you just get dumped?”
Rose smiles and glances over at her with a smile through her hair and sees a good way to keep Gabbie from looking too close at anything else. “Absolutely not! You have to let him know you haven’t forgotten what he did to you.” She tries to remeber anything Gabbie had ever told her about her ex or this girl who stile him. “You going after the girl?”
“What, and make her life hell too?” Gabbie doesn’t sound put off by the idea, just thoughtful. So far, all she’d really done was try to make Minx feel uncomfortable and unwelcome from across the room. “Honestly, being with Matt Brown is hell enough. But maybe I can play the psychological long con….” She frowns. “I don’t know much about Minx, actually, just that she seems unhinged…” She narrows her eyes at Rose, confused but not sure why.
“Minx?!” She chokes out in the wrong tone and quickly clears her throat. “I oh i wouldn’t mess with Minx…” There was some loyalty Rose felt to Minx for their tied background and the way she never looked at her sideways or questioned anything when she arrived at the Youni. She couldn’t come to Gabbie with that kind of sentiment though. “She’s kinda unhinged, in like, a violent way. I don’t think she feels pain.”
Gabbie narrows her eyes a little, scrutinizing Rose after her exclamation. Like she can read whatever could give her such an instant, knee-jerk reaction in her face. Though, the tone break makes her wonder if she’s secretly one of those ‘discord kittens’ and just adopted a higher voice to attract more men, which, like, ew. She wrinkles her nose though at the elaboration, nodding. “There’s gotta be somewhere to get under her skin, though. Like, I can handle myself in a fight, I do Pilates. But she’s gotta have a mental weak spot.” She blows a strand of hair out of her face in a huff, annoyed. “She’s like, a year out of practice from Creator Clash, too, so even if she did physically retaliate… I think I could take her.”
“Mentally yeah I’m sure that’s easy work of it.” Rose shrug feeling like she needed to get back into Gabbie’s good graces after slipping up in not only voice but now not encouraging girl fight. “I mean it’s pretty obvious, Shlatt already knows how to get under her skin, that makes it pretty easy.” She hints but says nothing outright so she can try and pleade the fith on this later, continuing walking in the direction she had started.
She almost rolls her eyes, instantly ready to write of the chauvinist she met once in the quad. Schlatt? What the hell does he have to do with… A slow grin creeps onto Gabbie’s face as she thinks about the implications of that. “Hm. And here I thought that guy wasn’t useful for much of anything…” Her gratitude is so great that she leans in and kisses Rose hard on the cheek, before pulling back with a wild grin. “You are quickly rising in the ranks of actual good company on campus. Actually, where are you headed to? Class, or…? Because if you’re free, I want your help. With my ex, I mean - Minx is a later problem.” Of course, if she isn’t, that’s fine too. She can do plenty of scheming on her own.
